The creative spirit comes of her own accord and sometimes, if I just get out of the way, magic happens. Following are such strokes of magic. They emerge seemingly out of the ether, a beginning and an end in and of themselves. Each a complete story, refusing to be a part of some other narrative. They do not play well with others.

The Story of Act of Remembrance and Measure of a Want
I’m fascinated with the archaic instruments and geometric stone carvings that have been used in the human quest to measure time. In “Act of Remembrance” and “Measure of a Want” I abstracted the idea of timekeeping, along with scale and color, to create imagined remnants of place.
